Walla...Where:  Drop off is at Buchtel Entrance of the Akron Campus at 8:30pm, we’ll walk to University of Akron Rec Center and Student Union together and then walk back to The Chapel for breakfast
Walla...Pick-up:  Akron Campus, Buchtel Entrance from 6:30 - 7:00am
Walla...Cost:  $15 if paid by 1/20, $20 if paid by 1/27

 

WHAT'S GOING ON?

Join us for this wacky indoor all-nighter!  We'll start off the evening with an awesome large group time, including wacky games, a chance to meet some new friends, and a sweet video/multimedia message in the Auditorium at The Chapel (Akron Campus).

Next, we'll be Bowling, Playing Video games, playing pool and other fun games together at the Akron Student Union.

Then we'll head over the the University of Akron Rec Center where you'll have the chance to Climb their giant Rock Wall, Swim in the sweet leisure pool, Compete in some Inflatable Jousting, Play Dodgeball, Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, or Ping Pong, watch a Huge Screen Movie, and much more!  And no we won’t be doing any of these outside in the snow! 

There will be lots of pizza, drinks, and snacks throughout the night and breakfast at The Chapel in the morning.

 

REGISTRATION

Registration is easy.  Just download a registration form, fill out all sections, then turn it in with your payment for the event.  You can turn in your registration a few ways.

1)  Hand it to one of the Ehko Staff Members on Sunday morning or Wednesday night.

2)  Drop by the Student Ministry office in Akron or Green during the week and turn it in, just be sure to label an envelope for Winter Wallapalooza.

3)  Mail it to The Chapel with this address:

DEADLINE & COST

Early deadline is Wednesday, January 20 - $15

Final dealine is Wednesday, January 27 - $20

Please do not mail registrations after Monday, January 25!

 

WHO'S GONNA BE THERE?

Around 200 Middle School Students (grades 6-8) from Akron, Green, and Wadsworth campuses of The Chapel.  Feel free to invite lots of your friends, especially those who don't go to church or aren't involved in another youth group.

We'll have about 30 - 40 adult leaders, that's a 1:6 ratio, to hang out with students and help them have a great time.

WHAT TO BRING!

Please be sure to bring a towel and swim suit for the pool   (Girls: one piece only; Guys: no Speedos!)

Also, if you plan on playing sports and games at the Rec Center be sure to dress appropriately or bring extra clothes and shoes for this time.  And if you are planning on Climbing the Rock Wall, please don't wear really loose clothes (jeans or sports pants work best for climbing).

You may bring a bag to keep your stuff in, and our staff will be sure to transport it from The Chapel to the Rec Center so you don't have to carry it all night. (Be sure to label your bag with your name so that it doesn't get lost!)

You may bring a camera, but be sure to keep it with you at all times.

 

WHAT NOT TO BRING! 

- No ipods, MP3 players, or other expensive music playing devices

- No PSPs or other video game systems

- No firearms, drugs, explosives, or other dangerous or illegal devices

- No money  (You won’t need any, so don’t bring much if any)

- Clothes that you shouldn’t wear to church.  Let’s keep it clean!

*Cell Phones are permitted, but we expect them to be turned off and for emergency use only.  If you do bring a cell phone, it is your responsibility to assure that it does not get lost or stolen.

 

ROCK WALL CLIMBING DETAILS        

There is limited space available for students to climb the Rock Wall.  We will only have this option available from 1:00 - 3:00 am, and can only get approximately 40 students onto the wall in this amount of time.  So if you know you definitely want to do the Rock Wall, be sure to fill out the Rock Wall portion of the registration form.  And make sure to head to the Rock Wall as soon as our group gets to the Rec Center as we will be allowing students to climb on a first come, first serve basis.
